Santa Cruz, CA - 18 May 2025 - Brooke Alexx had brought her honesty, and pop power to The Catalyst stage in Santa Cruz on Sunday night. Her set didn’t feel like just another tour stop, but more like a shared secret between friends. On her BIG(GER) MOUTH TOUR, Brooke delivered a high-energy set that had fans singing every word. They danced without hesitation, held up posters they had made, and soaked up every beat.
The night opened with indie pop artist Rosemary Joaquinn, she’s one of Brooke Alexx’s friends as well as roommate in Nashville, TN. Rosemary’s dreamy vocals created the perfect warm up for what was to come. Her stage presence and catchy, and fill emotion lyrics resonated with the crowd. Especially singing her fan favorite songs “Calvin Klein” and “Bestie”.
When Brooke Alexx took the stage, she wasn’t no time in setting the tone. Launching into “SUPER FAMOUS”, she immediately drew the crowd in with infectious confidence.Especially when she ran onto the stage from the crowd. The performance felt alive—bright lights, big feelings, and an artist clearly having as much fun as her fans. She rolled effortlessly into “GIRLFRIEND” and “DUMB IN LOVE,” two tracks that had the entire floor moving and mouthing along. Brooke’s charm isn’t just in her voice (though that’s impressive on its own)—it’s in her relatability. Whether singing about dating younger guys, the feeling of break ups, or questioning your path, she makes pop music feel like a heart-to-heart.
The emotional core of the show came in songs like “GRACE” that is about mom and showcased her range—not just vocally, but emotionally. These weren’t just performances; they were confessions delivered with poise and warmth. “IDTPA” into “PHOTOGRAPH” was another highlight, layered with nostalgia and vulnerability, yet lifted by the sounds that her drummer and guitarist delivered.
One of the most special moments of the night came during “HOW TO BE A FRIEND,” when Rosemary Joaquinn stepped onto the stage. Their duet added a raw, live-wire intimacy to the show, like turning the room into a quiet circle of shared memories.
Brooke knows how to structure a show, and the setlist was a rollercoaster in the best way—rising and falling in all the right places. The second half of the night packed a punch: “SHUT UP!” and “SITH > BUOV” were pure attitude, while her mashup of “HOT LIKE YOU / YEAR 3000” was both clever and crowd-pleasing. She followed it with “YOUNGER GUYS / YOUNG, WILD & FREE,” a flirty, free-spirited anthem that made the room feel like one big party.
She closed with “ALL MY EXES’ MOMS,” a fan favorite that was equal parts of hilarious and honest that makes Brooke Alexx such a standout voice in today’s pop landscape. As the final notes faded and the lights in the venue turned backed on, it was clear this wasn’t just a performance—it was a pop therapy session disguised as a party.
From start to finish, Brooke Alexx turned The Catalyst into her own world—one where it’s safe to be vulnerable, bold to be yourself, and always okay to dance it out. With her catchy melodies, sharp lyrics, and magnetic energy, Brooke proved once again she’s not just talking a big(ger) game—she’s living it.
